This week, we marked the beginning of Lent with meaningful celebrations of Shrove Tuesday and Ash Wednesday. Our incredible Social Justice Committee, alongside Mrs Lopez-Paterson and Mr Philips, sold delicious pancakes smothered in sweet toppings, recognising the tradition of indulgence before the Lenten season and launching our Project Compassion 2025 fundraising efforts.
On Ash Wednesday, our Liturgy Committee and Chisholm Ministers played a vital role in assisting Fr Zyggy, Mrs Matheson, Mrs Millimaci, Mrs Pietropaolo and Mr Panizza in leading our four House Ash Wednesday Services across the College. These reflective gatherings encouraged us to enter Lent with open hearts, embracing prayer, fasting and almsgiving.
A special thanks to everyone who contributed to these celebrations and House Assemblies especially our House Leaders: Miss McLlheney, Mr Hill, Mr Campeotto and Mr Ryan. As we embark on this Lenten journey, may we answer the call to compassion and support Caritas Australia’s Project Compassion, making a meaningful difference in the lives of those in need.
