This week we celebrated Mathematics Week at Chisholm, with students taking part in a variety of fun and engaging activities that highlighted the many ways maths connects to everyday life.

Highlights included an art and craft activity, where students tested their geometrical skills by creating envelopes from circles, and a special short film screened in the library (complete with popcorn!). ‘Eustice Solves a Problem’ told the story of a boy entering a maths competition, weaving together themes of friendship, resilience and of course, some tricky maths challenges.

Students also enjoyed a maths magic workshop, a business simulation activity and mystery quizzes throughout the week. It was wonderful to see so many students discovering new ways to enjoy Maths and deepen their appreciation for the subject.

An enormous thank you must be extended to all the students who participated in this week’s activities. We are truly grateful for the enthusiasm you bring to mathematics. Finally, we would like to thank Ms Zhang for her coordination of Mathematics Week. Her dedication and hard work has resulted in a Mathematics Week that was enjoyed by all.
