Well done to our Mock Trial team, ‘The Justice Gamers’, who had a win in the Quarter-Final on Thursday evening and won the case as Defence; case dismissed. They took on a very worthy opponent in Kingsway Christian College and both teams competed to a very high standard. In the end, we won 134.5 to 134 and progress to Round 5 for the next elimination final. This means our team is now top 8 of 117 teams in this year’s competition, a very impressive effort.

Thanks to all team members for their preparation over a short two week period, individual efforts, teamwork, and on the night for their contest, confidence and sportsmanship. Thanks to our Coach, Hon John McKechnie SC, who put much time into guiding them and reviewing last minute drafts and questions as well as early morning meetings.

We had help with a record 26 supporters watching our team in the tight contest in Court Room 11 at the Supreme Court, including Mr Randazzo, Mrs Firns and Mr Alagic, plus many students, parents, family members and friends – thank you all for taking the time to come and watch our team in action!

The next round will be held in the week of 21 August, date to be advised shortly. All the best to our team for the next round. We are very proud of all of you!
