Well done to both our Mock Trial teams on a very competitive, high standard contest on Thursday night at the Supreme Court. Both teams finished the open rounds (Round 3) with a big win. Hearslay (Defendant) won 147 to 132.5 against Mandurah Catholic College in Courtroom 1 (the biggest court). The Justice Gamers (Plaintiff) won 159 to 137.5 against Leeming SHS in Court room 3. It was a complex civil case involving alleged nuisance between semi-rural neighbours; one claimed loss of breeding dogs due to parties, lights, smoke and music by their new neighbours; the neighbours lodged a counter-claim alleging nuisance due to smelly, barking dogs.
Thanks to all our spectators (parents and friends) and to Mrs Wainwright and Mr Rovedatti – you all brought us lots of luck!
We are very proud of all of our teams.
Now we all have to wait until 17 July to find out who is into finals…fingers crossed.
Well done and we have no ‘objection’ to you all having a good rest and a relaxing holiday break.
Ms Clark & Miss Ranalli
