On Thursday evening, the Chisholm Music community came together for Music Night 2026, celebrating a wonderful year of music-making across the College.

The evening showcased students from across our bands, jazz ensembles, choirs and String Orchestra, with repertoire ranging from film and musical theatre favourites to jazz, contemporary works and concert repertoire. The concert also provided an opportunity to celebrate our ensemble award recipients, announce our 2027 Music Captains and recognise our graduating Year 12 Music students for their contribution to the programme.

A particular highlight was celebrating Jazz Band 1’s Jazz Ensemble Shield from this year’s Catholic Performing Arts Festival, the first shield awarded to a Chisholm ensemble in over a decade. The evening was a fitting celebration of the commitment, musicianship and enthusiasm our students have demonstrated throughout the year.

Thank you to our Music staff, tutors, ensemble directors, student and staff helpers, Friends of Performing Arts, and the many families who supported the evening. Most importantly, congratulations to all of our students on a fantastic night of music.
