On Tuesday evening, Chisholm Catholic College proudly presented its annual ATAR Music Soirée, a night of recital performances.
The evening provided students with the opportunity to perform solo repertoire prepared for their practical music examinations, alongside a variety of additional works chosen to reflect their individual interests and camaraderie. Audience members were treated to an engaging programme spanning classical, jazz, musical theatre and contemporary styles as well as some duet and trio performances.
A particular highlight of the evening was the students themselves taking on the role of compères, introducing one another and sharing insights into the music being performed. Their confidence, professionalism and support for one another reflected the strong sense of community that exists within the Chisholm Music Programme.
We were delighted to welcome our guest adjudicator, Stephanie Thyer, whose expertise and encouragement provided valuable feedback for our performers as well as accompanists Sarah Chung, Finn McKibbin, Rio Haigh, Gus Davidson and Kirsten Osborne.
Congratulations to all students who performed. Preparing a recital requires many hours of practice, commitment and perseverance, and each performer should be immensely proud of their achievement.
We thank our staff, accompanists, families and friends for their support and look forward to sharing more outstanding performances at Music Night later this year.
