A sensationally sunny August day greeted our Year 7-10 athletics squad on Tuesday last week as they competed at the State Athletics Stadium in the NAS Athletics meet.

Students had the opportunity to put their training to use taking on the other four NAS schools in track and field events, while gaining experience, pushing for team selection and receiving expert feedback from their coaches.

The coaches were impressed with the progress their athletes have made in a short time, with many personal best times broken and some smashed!

I would like to thank all athletes for their effort, behaviour and sportsmanship shown on the day. A big thanks to our student helpers, internal coaches, PE staff and Mr Heyes for the hard work done.
