Chisholm alumnus and Experimental Physicist Dr Benjamin Dix-Matthews visited the College on Wednesday evening as our Guest Speaker for National Science Week 2022.

Benjamin discussed his fascinating field of PhD research which focuses around lasers and taking stable measurements of time. He also talked about his journey through Science from school to where he is today; gave the students advice on how to make the most of their university experience and discussed why he believes the pursuit of Science makes a wonderful career.

We are very appreciative of the time Benjamin took to revisit Chisholm and share his story. He was both an engaging and inspiring presenter and is a wonderful ambassador for our College.

Many thanks to the parents, students and staff who braved the cold, stormy weather to attend the evening and who asked our presenter such thoughtful and interesting questions. We look forward to many more nights like this in the future.
