FROM THE PRINCIPAL – Term 2 Week 3

May 13, 2022

Last week the Australian Catholic Bishops Conference (ACBC) announced that Perth Archbishop Timothy Costelloe SDB will serve as President of the ACBC for the next two years. We congratulate and extend our prayers to Archbishop Costelloe as he takes on this crucial role.

This week saw the start of formal external assessments for students in Years 7, 9 and 12. NAPLAN is being administered to students in Years 7 and 9 while students in Year 12 who study General courses are sitting Externally Set Tasks (EST). I wish all students success in their preparation and hope they achieve their absolute best.

As time goes by, our lives seem to get busier and sometimes we try to do too much. Recently I came across an online article titled “How to Plan for a Busy Week”. While much has been written on this topic, I found this an easy read as it provided seven short tips to reduce stress and make busy weeks more manageable. I include the online link as I strongly encourage you to share this short article with your child: https://www.herzing.edu/blog/how-plan-busy-week

I hope you have an enjoyable weekend and week ahead.
