The Year 9 Visual Art students were extremely fortunate to have an artist incursion last week with a local Street Artist John Herne, from Blank Walls.
Students were introduced to the techniques and processes involved in creating an urban art piece. This includes explanation on safety techniques and the various spray-painting methods to get different results from a spray can.
Students will utilise these skills in the creation of their skateboard designs for ‘Echoes of Childhood’ project, which is influenced by the international street artists Shephard Fairy (Obey) and Caledonia Curry (Swoon).
