On Monday night we welcomed special guests, parents and other members of our College community to our Practical and Creative Arts Opening Night and Awards Ceremony. This was a night where we came together to celebrate the creativity, passion and dedication of our students and to marvel at the incredible talent that has been nurtured within the walls of our College.
Our Catholic tradition places great value on nurturing the whole person – mind, body and spirit. And through the Exhibition, we see the fruits of that holistic education. At Chisholm, we are proud to cultivate an environment where creativity thrives alongside academic excellence and where students are encouraged to grow as creators and innovators.
We have a multitude of talented students in the creative and practical arts area and their exceptional work has been on display in the Exhibition. I would like to thank all the staff in Visual Arts, Design and Technology, Home Economics, Media, Photography who have played a part in shaping these students and also in preparing our Exhibition for everyone’s viewing enjoyment.
A huge thank you to Chisholm’s ex-students and now teachers: Mr Joel Downes, Ms Luisa Box, Ms Erika Hadfield and Ms Monique Parr, for being our guest speakers on the evening and inspiring us on the importance of pursuing your passions and the value of a creative career.
Thank you to our Community Relations Team, Mr Marco Ieritano and Sr Chau for their filming and compilation of the “Behind the Scenes” video. Thank you to Year 7 student, Eason Li, for his excellent introduction to our Opening Night. We thank the Home Economics staff and students for preparing refreshments for us, the amazing office staff especially Ms Aimee Iacusso and Ms Jill Collins, our Bio Box experts, Mr Don Armstrong and Mrs Nicole Huggins and all the Executive Leadership Team for their assistance.
