Push-Up Challenge at Chisholm

July 31, 2025

A huge congratulations to Amy and Madison who kickstarted Chisholm’s involvement in the 2025 Push-Up Challenge. Their initiative, passion and outstanding leadership brought our College together for a powerful cause, raising awareness for mental health and the fund to support those in need. Below is their report on the event:

“From 4-26 June, over 100 Chisholm students and staff took on the 2025 Push-Up Challenge, aiming to complete 3,214 push-ups in 23 days. This number represents the 3,214 lives lost to suicide in Australia in 2023. Across 10 teams (including one with our awesome Library Staff), Chisholm collectively completed a huge 141,879 push-ups. They also raised an incredible $3,514, completely surpassing the original fundraising goal of $1,000.

All funds go towards the Push for Better Foundation, which runs this annual event to raise awareness, start important conversations and help fill the gaps in mental health education and support. Donations also support the work of Lifeline and Headspace, making a real difference in the lives of many.

It was an amazing effort by everyone involved as they were able to get active, connect with others, and most importantly, help reduce the stigma surrounding mental health!”
