On Tuesday evening 23 June, the Library Team at Chisholm Catholic College accepted the award presented by the WA School Library Association (WASLA) as ‘School Library Team of the Year 2026’.

Together, Mrs Amy Hollingsworth, Ms Anne Mariner, Mrs Patricia Lam Sin Cho, Mrs Sarah Klass, Mrs Vanessa Fielden and Mrs Cally Black bring extensive experience and dedication to support the learning, literacy and wellbeing of the school community.

The team’s worthiness for the award stems from their resilience, collaboration, creativity and being deeply committed to the power of an amazing library. The team have embraced change with professionalism and have created a busy, energetic and inclusive library that supports students and staff every day.

Mrs Amy Hollingsworth (Library and Information Services Coordinator) recognised that “this Award belongs to every single member of the Library Team, past and present. The programmes, the culture and the heart of our library have been shaped by the dedication and passion of so many people over the years, and we carry their contribution with us.

“Thank you to our students; you are our best customers! Whether you are browsing the aisles, borrowing books, asking the hard questions or discovering something new, you are the reason for us to come to work each day.

“To our school leadership and community, thank you for your support, your trust and for believing in the power of a great school library run by a passionate, highly qualified and dedicated team.

“And finally, to WASLA and the judging panel, thank you for championing school libraries and the incredible people who work in them. This is such an honour.

“We will wear this Award proudly and continue to strive, innovate and grow because our students and school community deserve nothing less.”
