On Monday 23 June, our Senior Boys Football team travelled to play Carine Senior High School in the semi-final of the Glendinning Cup.

The large squad of players, under the guidance of Mr Ricks, have developed a strong sense of cohesion, friendship and a growing positive culture which has been evident in all their games.

This was the first time in nearly a decade that Chisholm had reached a Football semi-final.

Unfortunately, we came up against a strong Carine side who came out of the blocks very quickly to surge into a commanding lead.

In a physical and hard fought game, Chisholm won the second half of the game and showed real character and resilience to match Carine, and even better them on the scoreboard for this half of play.

However, it was not to be our day but the boys can be proud of what they have achieved as a developing group of players and look forward to 2026. 

For our Year 12 students, thank you for your contribution to Chisholm Football and I hope that you look back on this achievement with pride.

Congratulations again to Mr Ricks who has led the team with passion and integrity.
