Chisholm Catholic College extends a massive congratulations to Year 12 Visual Art student Angel Papalazaros as her artwork, ‘Hellenic Habitat’, has been selected for the highly prestigious ‘The West Australian Pulse 2025’ Exhibition.

“Hellenic Habitat” is a large oil on canvas diptych painting that explores themes of Greek immigration, cultural identity and adaptation. Angel juxtaposes gestural brushstrokes, dripping paintwork and fine details to convey the complexities and beauty of cultural change and the blending of traditions within Australian culture.

‘The West Australian Pulse’ exhibition annually celebrates WA’s talented young artists, gauging the pulse of young people who will influence, empower and shape the world we live in.

The Exhibition will be held at the Art Gallery of Western Australia and runs from 3 May – 20 July 2025.
