Surf Online Safe – Parent Cyber-Safety Seminar

June 6, 2024

In Term 2, Paul Litherland, from Surf Online Safe, will be visiting our College for a parent presentation on Wednesday 26 June at 6:30pm in the College Performing Arts Centre (B01).

For close to 20 years, Paul has been working at the coalface of online safety. Since leaving the Western Australia Police in 2014, Paul has grown to become one of the nation’s most recognised and highly awarded educators in the fields of Cyber Safety and Internet Awareness, culminating in being named the 2022 WA Australian of the Year.

Paul will share his experiences as a WA Police Officer in the Technology Crime Investigation Unit and speak about the need for students and parents to remember the impact of their digital footprint, maintain levels of privacy when using apps and apply methods to remain safe in an online environment. Subjects covered will include: Cyber Bullying; Digital Citizenship; Online, Social Networking & Networking in general; Online Gaming and Website Use.

Parents from all year levels are invited and encouraged to attend, and can register their attendance via this Trybooking link: https://www.trybooking.com/CSHFL.

Paul Litherland will also be presenting to our Year 7 and 8 students during the day. Please contact your child’s Head of Year or myself for any queries.
