The annual Chisholm Choice Awards invites all students at the College to submit a photograph of their own inspiration and vision, each capturing a moment in time.
The Arts Committee, and in particular, Sebastian De Silva put forward this year’s theme: ‘Talent out of this World’. We anticipated unique photography that spanned across many experiences and connections to places. As a Committee, we were very pleased by the efforts of students and their level of creativity.

“This photograph was taken during my trip to Da Nang, Vietnam. where I explored many unreal and beautiful caves. This photo is truly important to me as it allows me to share the natural beauty of Vietnam with others. It also reminds me that I got the privilege to revisit my home country, a place that I really enjoy travelling to as it feels like my second home. I chose this image as it really addresses the theme ‘Out of this World’ because it captures a hidden cave-like opening revealing a bright, glowing exit which makes the photo seem surreal, like ‘out of this world’, something rarely seen in everyday life”.
