Upcoming Changes to Transperth Bus Services

October 15, 2026

Effective from Sunday 1 November 2026, these changes will specifically impact our Chisholm students:

Route 998 and 999

  • Will be withdrawn and replaced with new Route 997 and new Route 998

New Route 997

New Route 998

  • Will operate between Galleria Bus Station and Curtin University Bus Station via Bayswater Station, Belmont Forum Shopping Centre and Oats Street Station.
  • Additional detail available here.

There are many other changes across the wider Transperth network occurring on the same date. Details available on the Transperth website here: Transperth Service Update Details

Passengers are encouraged to plan their journey and familiarise themselves with these new services.

We encourage students to travel to and from the College using public transport where possible. Students travelling on public transport are reminded of the importance of lining up appropriately and safely, wearing their College uniform correctly, and demonstrating courteous and respectful behaviour at all times. Students are expected to be great citizens and representatives of our College throughout their journey.

Whilst Transperth Services remains free to students they are required to tag on and off using their Transperth SmartRider.

We also remind all members of our College community to travel safely, respectfully and legally to and from school. As we prioritise the safety and wellbeing of all students, please always:

  • Follow all road safety rules when walking, riding or travelling by car
  • Use designated pedestrian crossings and pathways where available
  • Wear helmets when riding bicycles, scooters, or skateboards
  • Especially at peak times and when parking, please be mindful and respectful of local residents, businesses and other members of the community
  • Follow signed instructions for appropriate use of our drop-of and pick-up zones and follow the guidance of College staff and traffic management personnel.

Thanks to all community members for your support and wishing everyone safe, respectful and legal road use in the term ahead.

Mr John Swindells
Deputy Principal – Community
