Year 10 Careers Day

June 23, 2021

YEAR 10 CAREERS DAY

Last week Year 10 students participated in a day aiming at preparing them for the challenges of life beyond school and the upcoming Year 11 subject selection period. The day emphasised the ingredients and steps essential to career development and success including goal setting, the importance of good habits and the personal responsibility that comes with emerging young adulthood. Students heard from a panel of current Year 12s sharing their experience and tips on how to make right choices and balance their studies, social life and other responsibilities.

Students reflected on what motivates them for success, wrote down and submitted their current goals, career options and some tentative Year 11 subject sections ahead of the formal subject selection process starting in the first few weeks of Term 3. Parents are encouraged to discuss with their sons and daughters the concepts and content explored on the day.
