This weekend, our Year 11 Drama ATAR students take to the stage for their class production of Sophocles’ classic Greek tragedy, Antigone.

Set in a city recovering from civil war, Antigone explores a powerful conflict between personal conviction and civic duty. When King Creon refuses to allow the burial of Antigone’s brother, she chooses to defy his command, setting in motion a tragic chain of events.

The production features Year 11 Drama students Jayden Pham, Lily Hackett, Malika Tu, Ashley Flower, Alex Kaless, Eloise Clarke and Lyna Nguyen, with Lily Hackett and Ashley Flower alternating the roles of Antigone and the Chorus across the two performances.
