The Peer Support Programme is designed to support our newest Year 7 members as they transition into high school life.
On Friday 30 January, 74 Year 11 students generously gave up a day of their holidays to participate in training sessions on campus in preparation for the programme. These outstanding students were selected to mentor our Year 7s as they begin their secondary school journey at Chisholm Catholic College.
Throughout the day, the Year 11 leaders developed key leadership skills and took part in a range of activities that they will facilitate with the Year 7 students on their first day and across the year. Their enthusiasm, commitment and sense of responsibility were evident throughout the training.
Thank you to all staff and students who contributed to the smooth running of the day. The Year 11 Peer Support Leaders are to be commended for the exceptional support they have already provided to our Year 7 students during their first day at the College.
Mr Nic Italiano
Head of Year 11
