The Year 11 Retreat, centred on the theme “Contribution for Christ,” invited students to reflect deeply on how their unique gifts can serve God, the College community and the wider world. At this stage in their formation, Year 11 students are ready to consider leadership, responsibility and the impact of their choices. This Retreat builds intentionally on the foundation established in previous years, where students explored identity, belonging and service. Now, they are called to recognise that authentic contribution flows from a living relationship with Christ.
A key element of the day was the empowerment that comes from the Mass, where students encountered Christ in Word and Sacrament. The Eucharist strengthens them to live lives of compassion, justice and service, aligning closely with Chisholm Care and the College Value of Compassion, which calls students to recognise the dignity of every person and to respond with generosity.
The Retreat also included input and witness from the Youth Mission Team (YMT), whose vibrant faith and lived discipleship offered students a relatable and inspiring model of Christian contribution. Their presence helped make faith tangible and accessible, encouraging students to see that following Christ is both purposeful and joyful. Together, these elements created a meaningful formation experience that nurtured mature, faith-filled contributors to the Chisholm community and beyond.
