The students from our two Year 12 Children Family and Community classes have been organising care packages for new young mums. Students welcomed and listened to our guest speaker Davina Goldthorpe from Family and Community Services Mercy Care, who spoke of the need for their young clients to have access to items for immediately after a baby is welcomed into the family. Students organised to create care packages that included home-made candles, personal care items, baby clothes and books. These will be distributed via Mercy Care to parents in their programmes.

We thank our students for their generosity and support of such a worthwhile initiative.
