On Friday 11 February, we were lucky to have the opportunity to bring our wonderful Year 12 Visual Art students to Fremantle for a day of drawing and Gallery visits.
We had a leisurely browse around Fremantle Arts Centre, the David Giles Gallery and Japingka Aboriginal Art Gallery, taking in all the artworks that were on offer. We then spent some time drawing and collating imagery at Bather’s Beach, the Round House and taking in the wonderful architecture that Fremantle has to offer.
This will assist in the development of inquiry work for our Year 12s and help in underpinning the work that they produce for the year.
It was a valuable and enjoyable experience for all involved.
