On Wednesday, over 300 grandparents joined our Year 7 students for a special event celebrating family connections and community spirit. The day began with a warm welcome, followed by a delightful morning tea where grandparents and their grandchildren shared stories and laughter. It was truly heartwarming to witness the bonds between our students and their grandparents, highlighting the love, pride and joy that they bring to each other’s lives.
The event also showcased the many talents of our Year 7 cohort. Guests were treated to a wonderful performance from the Year 7 Band, setting the tone for a joyful and vibrant morning. Afterward, grandparents were given a chance to explore the creative side of our College, with a tour of the Practical and Creative Arts Exhibition, where students proudly displayed their artistic projects.
The highlight of the day was the personalised tours, where Year 7 students had the opportunity to lead their grandparents around the campus, sharing their school experiences and showing off their favourite locations. It was a meaningful and memorable way for our Year 7s to express gratitude and for grandparents to see firsthand the school environment that nurtures their grandchildren’s growth.
Thank you to everyone who attended and made this event such a special occasion!
