On Thursday 2 April, in the lead up to Easter, Year 7 Religious Education students engaged in a meaningful Religious Education unit exploring Holy Week and the Easter Triduum. Through a range of creative and reflective activities, students deepened their understanding of the significance of Holy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter Sunday. They examined key Scripture readings associated with each day, recognising the profound importance of these events as the centre of the Church’s liturgical year and a foundational belief of the Catholic faith.
Students participated in discussions, artistic responses and collaborative tasks that encouraged them to connect the Gospel narratives with their own lives. This learning experience fostered both spiritual reflection and a greater appreciation of the traditions and symbols in the Easter celebration.
