On Wednesday, we proudly welcomed our Semester 2 Year 7 House Representatives during a special induction assembly. The occasion celebrated the students who have been selected to represent their Houses for the remainder of the year and recognised their willingness to take on this important leadership role within our College community.
For many of these students, this is their first opportunity to serve as a student leader, making the occasion both exciting and memorable. Family members, staff and fellow students gathered to celebrate their achievement and acknowledge their commitment to representing the voices of their peers.
During the assembly, Mrs Flower spoke to the students about the qualities of effective leadership. She reminded them that leadership is about much more than wearing a badge, it is about leading by example, demonstrating respect, showing kindness, listening to others and serving the school community with integrity. She encouraged each student to embrace the opportunities ahead and to make a positive difference.
Each House Representative was formally presented with their leadership badge, symbolising their commitment to serving their House and contributing positively to College life.
The role of a House Representative is an important one. Throughout the semester, these students will work alongside staff and fellow student leaders to share ideas, support House initiatives, represent the views of their peers and help foster a strong sense of community within the College.
Congratulations to all of our Semester 2 Year 7 House Representatives. We look forward to seeing the positive impact they will have through their leadership, enthusiasm and commitment to serving others.
