Year 7s Launch Their Secondary School Journey

February 5, 2026

Our Year 7 students have officially hit the ground running, with an exciting and memorable first two days of secondary school!

Day 1 was all about settling in and finding their feet, despite the very warm conditions! Even with the heat, students showed great resilience as they were warmly welcomed into the school community and tackled some important milestones, including mastering locks and lockers, setting up their IT access and learning how things work around the school. Year 11 Peer Support Leaders alongside the PCAs made this process seamless. The day finished on a calm and meaningful note with the celebration of Mass, followed by the College Anthem, bringing our newest students together as part of the Chisholm Community.

Day 2 brought a slightly cooler change, plenty of energy and lots of connection. During PCG activities, students had the chance to get to know one another better while participating in sessions focused on our Chisholm Values of Character, Learning and Compassion. These activities encouraged teamwork, reflection and a strong sense of belonging. The excitement peaked with the House Chant Competition, where creativity, enthusiasm and House Spirit were on full display.

It has been a fantastic start for our Year 7s and we are so proud of the positivity, resilience and enthusiasm they have shown. We look forward to watching them continue to grow, learn and thrive throughout the year.
