Year 8 Student at the School Sports Australia Games

Year 8 student, Isaac Iaschi, showcased outstanding performances at the inaugural School Sports Australia Games held at the Gold Coast Aquatic Centre from July 25-31.

Isaac Iaschi’s first event was the 100m Breaststroke which saw him qualify for Finals later that day, placing 7th with a personal best time of 1:15.86, improving his previous best by 2.41 seconds. In the 50m Fly, he broke the 30-second barrier for the first time, with a personal best improvement of 1.09 seconds. Isaac also impressed in the Boys 13-14 200m Breaststroke, placing 6th overall and 2nd among 13 year olds with a personal best of 2:47.78. Isaac contributed significantly to the 13/14 year old freestyle relay team, swimming the fastest leg at 27.03 seconds, helping his team secure 2nd place in their heat and 8th overall.

Isaac’s performances at the School Sports Australia Games highlights his hard work and passion for swimming and was a fantastic opportunity for him to compete against athletes from other states on the national stage.
