On Wednesday, our Year 9 and Year 10 Chisholm sports teams were involved in the NAS One-Day Sports Carnival. Over 250 students and staff set off to various venues across the metropolitan area to compete.
Our NAS teams in Soccer, Football, Badminton, Netball and Volleyball all performed very well and the one day carnival format allowed for larger squads, therefore more students having the opportunity to represent Chisholm.
Our Netball teams won three out of four premierships with our Year 10A Girls agonisingly defeated in the final seconds 41-40 in a very close and tense game against Sacred Heart to finish runners up.
The Year 10 Boys Soccer continued to impress by taking out the premiership for the third time in four years and special mention to our Year 9 Football team who performed outstandingly well to win three out of four games finishing runners up.
All our students displayed great character in their performances and should be proud of what they achieved – a credit to the school.
Thank you to our staff coaches for their efforts in preparing the students on what was a very big day of sport.
Go Chisholm!
