From Monday to Wednesday, our Year 9 students participated in the final instalment of the “Into Adulthood” workshops. Facilitated by AdventureWorks WA, the sessions included Body, Heart and Head challenges designed to help students respond effectively in diverse situations.

Each day began with the groups taking time to agree on values important to them, which were then used to guide how the group operated throughout the day. The students engaged in a variety of activities that tested their ability to work in a group environment, including building human pyramids, playing blind Jenga, solving tangrams, participating in basketball shooting challenges, and much more.

I was very pleased with how much they all got out of the workshop and can certainly sense there is a definite buzz in the air about the whole camp experience which will take place in Term 4. Thank you to all the PCAs and additional staff who assisted throughout the week along with the amazing Camp Coordinator extraordinaire Sule Alagic!
