Students have been learning how to describe weather patterns in Italian during the various seasons in the Northern and Southern hemispheres. Classes also learned about the activities during holiday celebrations such as Pasqua, Ferragosto, Natale and the impact the weather has on these celebrations. The seasons in Italian are: Inverno; Primavera; Autunno; Estate.
This week in a cross-cultural and linguistic activity, Signor Ricks explained the six Noongar seasons: Birak, Bunuru, Djeran, Makuru, Djilba and Kambarang and the influence of each season on the way of life of the Noongar people.
