FROM THE PRINCIPAL – Term 3 Week 4

August 12, 2022

As Term 3 progresses, I find it heartening to see the myriad of out-of-class educational experiences that our students are able to participate in – many of which are reported on in this edition of the Carolean. I hope students continue to appreciate and make the most of the opportunities available at Chisholm Catholic College.

This week we farewell Mrs Zoe Clements who has been at Chisholm for over 11 years. Mrs Clements has served the Chisholm community with professionalism and always showed a genuine concern that all students receive a positive holistic education. Her roles as ONSITE Coordinator and Head of Year are a testament that all decisions were based on what was the best outcome for the students. We wish Mrs Clements continued success in her new role.

Mrs Cathy Giannopoulos will commence extended leave from today and we wish her a restful and pleasant time away from the busyness of school.

You would be aware that the nine-month celebration phase of the Fifth Plenary Council of Australia ended last month. Plenary Council President Archbishop Timothy Costelloe SDB has written a Pastoral Letter on the second and final assembly of the four-year journey of the Fifth Plenary Council of the Catholic Church in Australia. I encourage you to read the Archbishop’s letter located at the link provided here: Archbishop Costelloe Pastoral Letter Fifth Plenary Council.

I hope you have an enjoyable weekend and week ahead.
