On Wednesday 7 June, our Senior Boys Football team played in the Elimination Final of the East Perth Metro Region of the Jakovich Cup.

This competition is organised by the Football Commission and our involvement in this competition is the main competition for our senior boys to complement the NAS One-day Carnival coming up on Monday 26 June.

Mr Glover and the players began their journey in Week 2 and have been training hard all term.

In a tightly contested group, Chisholm finished on top of the ladder on percentage after tough games against Ellenbrook SHS, John Forrest SHS and Ballajura SHS. This meant that Chisholm would host La Salle College in the Elimination Final to see who progressed to the Quarter-Final of the Jakovich Cup.

The game started brightly for Chisholm and the players were certainly more focussed, determined and full of energy. This effort deservedly saw Chisholm lead at the break by three goals.

In the second half, La Salle applied some pressure to the Chisholm backline but the defence stood firm and Chisholm managed to kick away to secure a 58-29 victory.

Chisholm will now travel down to Mandurah Catholic College on Wednesday 14 June to play the Quarter-Final.
