Last week, the Student Wellbeing Committee took action to raise awareness about bullying and the importance of creating a safe and supportive school community. Through our superhero-themed initiative, we encouraged students to recognise that everyone has a role to play in standing up against bullying.
Throughout the day, we spoke with students around the College, asking questions, sharing information and encouraging conversations about what bullying looks like, how it can affect others and, most importantly, what we can do when we see it happening.
The message we aimed to spread was simple: you don’t have to be a superhero to make a difference. To speak up, choose kindness, and include others and those around you who may be struggling, can have a very meaningful impact.
We hope the initiative encouraged students to think about how their everyday actions contribute to the culture of our school and brought smiles to our Chisholm community at the sight of our superhero’s walking around Chisholm. By speaking up and out against bullying, we can work together to make our college a place where everyone feels respected and supported.
Thank you to everyone, especially those we interviewed, who participated and helped us spread this important message throughout our community. A special thank you to Mrs Lewis for leading our team.
