The Stellatus students took part in the Computational and Algorithmic Thinking (CAT) competition earlier this year. This competition gives students the opportunity to develop their problem-solving skills through algorithmic thinking. The competition incorporates unique ‘three-stage tasks’ that encourage students to develop informal algorithms and apply them to test data of increasing size or complexity. This a fantastic competition that challenged the 58 Stellatus students who took part and some of them have achieved fantastic results.

We have four students who achieved a distinction. This is 

awarded to a student who is in the top 15% of their year and region (Australia wide).

We also had 18 students achieve Credit awards. This is awarded to a student who is in the top 50% of their year and region.
