Next week marks the beginning of Holy Week, the most sacred time in the Christian calendar. It is a time when we remember and honour the final days of Jesus’ life – His arrest, suffering and ultimate sacrifice on the Cross.
In preparation for this sacred season, our staff and students came together with reverence and respect, in their respective Houses, to enter into the story of Jesus’ Passion. The “Stations of the Cross” is a spiritual pilgrimage of 14 moments in Christ’s journey to Calvary. Through this prayerful Liturgy, we meditated on Jesus’ suffering, compassion and profound love for each of us.
Thanks to our Senior Chisholm Ministers who led us through this powerful experience, guiding our prayers and reflections while presenting images that helped bring the Stations to life. Together, we paused to recognise the depth of Jesus’ sacrifice and the sacredness of this time. But the story does not end at the Cross. After three days, the tomb was found empty – Jesus had risen. This is the heart of our faith, the great hope and joy of the Easter season.
We invite all members of our College community to celebrate this Good News and wish everyone a very Happy Easter!
