On Wednesday 15 November, we held our annual Stellatus Showcase. This event is a chance for our Stellatus students to show their talents and passions. The Year 7 and Year 9 students are given the opportunity to work on a passion project, whilst the Year 8 students work on town planning projects. We had some fabulous projects presented by all students.
Special mention needs to go to:
- “Gifted Kid Burnout” – Year 9 with Madison Buluran, Eleni Chapman, Chiara Del Marco, Amber Nguyen, Amelia Yates who produced their own songs and performed for the evening.
- “Bedford Shopping Precinct” – Year 8 by Noelle Pineda, Ezekiel Leber, Nicholas Staltari and Amber Cipriani.
- “Fashion Exchange” by Thea Bradley, Year 7.
These three projects stood out to the judges to take out first place in the respective years.
Each student and group had to present their work and answer a multitude of “on the spot questions” from all of our guests, of which we had over 200.
An evening like this is not possible without the hard work and dedication of our three fabulous Stellatus teachers. Mr Shane Willshire for Year 7, Mr Paul Shanahan for Year 8 and Ms Gina Goddard for Year 9. Thank you for all of the time and effort you put in to help the students with their projects and committing your time to the evening. Also thanks to Mrs Nicole Huggins for her guidance and help in setting this evening up.
