Study Tour to China

May 1, 2025

Our Study Tour to China from Beijing to Chengdu and Xi’an from 16–26 April was an unforgettable journey!

Over 11 incredible days, 30 students and three staff members explored iconic historical sites, navigated ancient alleys by rickshaw, visited a local school to learn martial arts, arts and calligraphy, met giant pandas and even cooked traditional Sichuan dishes and dumplings.

The school visit was a true highlight. Students not only took part in cultural activities but also made new friends and practised their Chinese in real conversations, creating meaningful connections beyond the classroom.

In Xi’an, students marvelled at the Terracotta Warriors, dressed in beautiful Hanfu (汉服), and enjoyed traditional cultural performances. Every day was filled with rich experiences, delicious Chinese cuisine and countless opportunities to engage with Chinese culture in fun and hands-on ways.

A heartfelt thank you to my amazing colleagues, Mr Anthony Palmer and Miss Jess Martin, for their incredible support and teamwork throughout this adventure! I would also like to sincerely thank all the parents for their great support. Your encouragement made this journey possible and truly special for our students.

This was more than just a trip! It was a journey of learning, friendship and unforgettable memories.
